Stress is what you experience when you are faced with challenges that are slightly more than you can handle. A little bit of stress in life is normal and even healthy in the sense it provides us the motivation to finish work on time, reach to solutions, work hard. However, when stress becomes too prolonged and if levels of stress are high then it can affect your health in addition to affecting your well being, performance and relationships.

Under stress, your body reacts similar to when are facing danger. When stress is more and regular in your life, it begins to have bad effects. Stress can give you headaches, back pain, sleep disorders etc. Stress for a prolonged period can weaken you immune system and leaves your body not enough equipped to fight diseases. Mood swings, tension, depression are further manifestations of stress. Increased level of stress can have negative psychological effects that make it more and more difficult to treat the real problems that are causing stress.
