Men, at times, ejaculate before their partner would want them to. This uncontrolled ejaculation, either before or immediately after penetration, is termed as premature ejaculation. Premature ejaculation is the most common form of sexual dysfunction that affects men above the age of 40. Premature ejaculation has affected almost all men at one point in their life. It can lead to sexual dissatisfaction for both partners. However, as long as premature ejaculation is not a frequent occurrence, there is nothing to worry about.

- Primary form relates to those for whom the condition has been in the existence since the individual reached the age of sexual functioning i.e. post puberty.
- Secondary form is considered when the individual
has been able to control his ejaculation and
faced no problem earlier but later is unable
to do so.
