1. Eat right, weight
less
When you adopt a healthy
diet-plan, you learn to eat well-balanced
meals. Two or three weeks of a healthy diet
and you will notice that your clothes fit
better and you are more active. Eating
healthy can also help increase your
metabolism and clear your system of toxic
substances.
2. Lower your blood pressure
Alcohol, fast food, caffeine
(found in coffee, colas and tea), and sodium
(found in most packaged and canned food,
and salt), can lead to high
blood pressure thus putting you at a
higher risk for diabetes,
heart disease,
stroke, obesity,
and some types of cancer.
You can counter hypertension
simply by including more fruit, vegetables
and low-fat dairy products like milk or
yoghurt in your diet.
3. Decrease your risk
of cardiovascular disease and some types
of cancer
Saturated fats found
in meat, butter, and coconut oil increase
your risk of heart disease. Two other major
contributors are trans fat found in margarine,
packaged foods, fast foods, and bakery products,
and sodium from a high intake of salt and
some packaged foods. Certain cancers, especially
those affecting the mouth, throat, stomach,
and bowel, can be prevented by eating healthy
and adopting a nutritious diet plan.
4. Improve quality of
life
Eating healthy has an
overall effect on improving your general
well being. Eating healthy will make your
hair softer and give your skin a natural
glow. You may achieve your ideal
weight, which will give you more stamina
and an increased libido. You will sleep
better, concentrate longer, and have a higher
level of productivity. You will also find
that you are better equipped to handle stress.
If you take care of your body, your body
takes care of you. You won’t fall
sick often, and even if you do, you’ll
recover quickly because you have improved
immunity.
You will look good and feel great and you
will have the energy and confidence to exploit
life’s potential.
